Bellocq: origin & history.
Heidi Johannsen Stewart and Michael Shannon met while working on food and product design at Martha Stewart’s company. When Heidi’s husband, designer Scott Stewart, found a temporary space on London’s King’s Road, the three turned their shared interest in tea into a shop. Bellocq opened there in 2010, then established its Brooklyn atelier in 2011. The attention to vessels, interiors and packaging remains part of the experience alongside the blends themselves. No. 01 Bellocq Breakfast is a signature black-tea blend from India, China and Sri Lanka; its 15-sachet box carries that collection into a convenient everyday format.

No. 01 Bellocq Breakfast · 15 Sachets →
No. 01 Bellocq Breakfast blends Indian, Ceylon and Chinese black teas into a full-bodied breakfast cup. Its tasting profile suggests malt, toast and honey-like notes; these describe the flavour of the tea, whose listed ingredients are black teas. This box contains 15 individually wrapped sachets. Brew with water at approximately 90°C for four to six minutes, and try a second infusion if you wish. It can be enjoyed plain or with milk. It contains caffeine. The photographed cups and tea accessories form the setting; the selected purchase is the 15-sachet box.

No. 111 Jasmine Pearls — 57 g →
Bellocq’s No. 111 Jasmine Pearls releases its fragrance as tightly rolled green leaves open in the cup. Produced in Fuding, Fujian, the tea uses the Da Bai Cha cultivar, hand-rolled and scented repeatedly with jasmine blossoms. The flowers perfume the processed leaves rather than forming a bottled flavouring added at the end. This 57 g Atelier Bag contains loose tea, a more tactile preparation than the brand’s Breakfast sachets. Expect a pronounced floral aroma and the pleasure of watching the pearls unfurl.
A closer look.
What catches our eye.
Bellocq makes the setting around a cup part of its identity. The sachet box keeps the blend accessible without asking for a separate strainer, while the atelier offers a more immersive way to explore the collection.
