Founded in 2015, Boka brought a new presentation to an everyday bathroom essential. Co-founder James Hagen came from a background in finance and dental supplies; the brand developed around an oral-care routine offered directly to customers. Its signature is visible in the contrast between simple white packaging, small colour accents and less familiar flavour combinations. Ela Mint places mint alongside cardamom, while other toothpastes explore coconut and ginger or lemon and lavender. Nano-hydroxyapatite is a named ingredient in the collection, but flavour, format and the details of each formula remain distinct choices. In 2023, Boka announced its first large-scale physical retail partnership with Ulta Beauty, extending a collection previously associated with online shopping. The range now also includes mouthwash, floss and toothbrushes. Its current company terms identify Essor Group Inc as the operator, and Essor presents Boka within its brand portfolio.
