THE BRAND’S POINT OF VIEW

Calm Strips: origin & history.

Michael Malkin’s idea began with the tactile quality of tape wrapped around a finger during a busy retail shift. He wanted a neater object that could stay close at hand. Calm Strips launched in 2020, with Luce Fuller helping build the small Virginian business. The format remained simple: thin adhesive strips combining printed artwork and a textured surface. The collection now explores several finishes, from fine-grained Soft Sand to more pronounced River Rocks, keeping the quiet hand gesture at the centre of the design.

What catches our eye.

These strips offer a small tactile pause without a moving mechanism. The variety of textures makes the pack interesting for comparing sensations and choosing a favourite place to keep one.
