Dammann Frères: origin & history.
Dammann Frères traces its modern trading history to the 1825 acquisition of the tea and vanilla merchant Derode. Jean Jumeau-Lafond joined in 1949, when tea became the company's exclusive trade. Later milestones include the Cristal sachet in 1980, the first Paris boutique in 2008 and the move to Dreux in 2011. That history is visible in a range balancing loose leaves and convenient sachets. Jardin Bleu, a black tea scented with rhubarb and strawberry, remains an expressive example of the house's blended recipes.

What catches our eye.
Dammann's tea counter offers both an everyday ritual and a wide vocabulary of flavours. The tin is useful beyond gifting: it gives loose leaves a defined place in the kitchen. Jardin Bleu is a good illustration of a familiar fruit pairing translated into tea, rather than a claim about wellness effects.
