Gloria Lladó began designing her own pieces in late 2016. Burak Ay and Albert Amor subsequently joined the project, and the history dates the formal creation of eikō ai to late 2018. Japanese craft references, distinctive prints and an interest in digital presentation shape the label’s story; its first public runway presentation took place in Barcelona in 2020.
