Embr Labs: origin & history.
A laboratory that felt too cold in summer prompted the American team behind Embr Labs to think about temperature at the scale of one person. Research began in 2013, followed by prototypes, a Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and a consumer launch in 2018. The resulting wristband uses a small contact surface against the wrist. Wave 2 continues that idea in a watch-like form, with physical buttons and app-controlled sessions: a personal thermal sensation rather than a room-wide change of temperature.
