Fable separates the place of design from the place of making: Vancouver for the former, Portugal for these stoneware mugs. Each rounded body is hand-finished, with natural flecks in the clay that can appear through lighter glazes. A wide handle and generous capacity keep the shape tied to coffee and tea rather than to display alone. The small differences between pieces are part of how the set is presented.
