Get to know Hatch.
Ann Crady Weiss and Dave Weiss came to the bedside object through family life. Their first products addressed the routines around babies and children; Restore carried the project into the adult bedroom. The design brings several functions into one familiar place on a nightstand: a clock, a light and a sound source. Restore 3 adds physical controls that can be used once the routine has been configured in the app. That balance matters to the identity of Hatch. The connected system is present in the setup, while the everyday object can be operated by touch. A woven-looking face and muted finishes give it a domestic character.

A few pieces tell the story in their own way, through a shape, a material or a familiar gesture.
A closer look.
What catches our eye.
Restore is strongest as a bedroom object: a soft outline, a legible clock and light contained behind a textured face. The useful question is how its controls fit an existing routine, including what the optional audio membership adds.
