Hans Hirsch made his first watch straps at home in Klagenfurt in 1945. The company’s history places that beginning at a kitchen table, before his son Hermann expanded the business internationally from Hirschstrasse. The workshop story has since grown into a specialist collection of straps for traditional watches and selected smartwatch fittings. Leather remains central, alongside rubber and other materials chosen for different uses. The visible choices are small but decisive: the edge of a strap, the contrast of a stitch, the way padding meets the watch case. Robert Hirsch later led the company for more than two decades; Nikolaus and Matthaeus took over its management in early 2022. Today, the family’s fourth generation continues to work from Klagenfurt. The collection gives a familiar watch another expression without changing the watch itself.
