Hojicha Co.: origin & history.
Danielle Geva and Francois Mathieu unveiled Hojicha Co. in Toronto in September 2018, beginning with two loose-leaf roasted teas sourced around Kyoto. The company profile records an earlier corporate establishment in 2016; the public brand launch is a separate milestone. A subsequent focus on finely milled Hojicha Powder extended the range into lattes, desserts and baking. That progression explains the brand's identity: a Canadian tea business introducing a Japanese roasting tradition through both a familiar cup and new kitchen uses.
