The brand cites the Komusō monks of Japan as an inspiration, distinct from its own American origin. Its Classic Shift places a shaped breathing chamber on a necklace, keeping the tool close to hand. The Matte Slate edition with Luxe Box Chain brings that practical object into an understated jewellery format, without requiring a battery, a screen or an app.
