KURMA: origin & history.
Claus Grzesch’s account of KURMA begins with the search for a workable yoga surface and experiments with carpet underlay in Germany. That practical material problem became the foundation of a specialist mat collection. CORE remains one of the familiar constructions in the range, with two usable surfaces and several sizes and colours. The brand’s German development history is distinct from its present Belgian operator, Vana Group BV. Nightfall gives the selected CORE a deep blue appearance, while its generous width and substantial thickness define the space and feel of practice.
