MoveActive is a Melbourne brand that brings colour and personality to Pilates and yoga accessories. Patterned grip socks sit at the centre of its collection, with mats and small training tools alongside them. Candy Stripe Ice Blue gives its crew-height socks a playful pastel finish.
MoveActive: origin & history.
Melissa Pain was attending Reformer Pilates classes in Melbourne when she noticed how little choice there was in grip socks: mostly plain black or pink pairs. She started MoveActive in 2009 to combine a more distinctive look with the practical demands of studio movement. The collection grew from patterned socks into mats and accessories for Pilates, yoga and barre. Crew Grip Socks in Candy Stripe Ice Blue retain the original emphasis on a small, often overlooked part of the practice, using a cotton-rich knit, ribbed cuff and gripped sole.

These MoveActive crew socks pair ice-blue and pink stripes with a small embroidered heart. The knit contains 75% cotton, 17% polyester and 8% elastane; PVC grip dots cover the sole, while a ribbed cuff and compression through the arch shape the fit. This is size S, corresponding to EU 37–39, UK 4–6 or US women’s 6–8 in the brand’s chart. They are designed for Pilates, yoga and studio movement. Machine wash warm, then air dry; do not tumble dry, dry clean or iron. This is one pair of socks; the ball in the brand photograph is a separate accessory.

MoveActive’s Matcha Pilates ball adds a small, soft green shape to a mat practice. Its 20–22 cm diameter makes it a compact prop for Pilates, yoga or barre, including positions where the ball is held between the legs. The PVC surface is textured, and the stated maximum weight capacity is 100 kg. This is a small exercise ball, so its proportions differ from a large sitting or balance ball. Wipe it with a mild detergent after use.
