Nakamura Tokichi Honten: origin & history.
Tokichi Nakamura established his tea business in Uji on New Year’s Day in 1854, on the premises that remain the house’s main store. The collection developed around tea, with later shops and cafés giving visitors different ways to encounter the same tradition. Seasonal Sencha Tokichi expresses another side of that continuity: leaves matured until autumn rather than presented only through the freshness of spring, bringing a rounder umami character to a familiar Japanese tea style.

What catches our eye.
The seasonal maturation gives this sencha a distinct place beside spring teas. The house also explains how leaf quantity, water temperature and infusion time change the balance between umami and bitterness.
