Postcard Teas: origin & history.
Timothy d’Offay’s interest in tea developed while living in Kyoto and travelling through other Asian tea cultures. He began importing tea in the late 1990s and co-founded East Teas at Borough Market in 2000, before the story of Postcard Teas and its London shop. The current team’s expertise spans Japanese and Chinese tea, blending and ceramics. English Breakfast shows how this specialist work can serve a familiar ritual: version 3 combines Assam, Kerala and Japanese black teas, with the blend periodically adjusted to the teas available.

What catches our eye.
An origin is most useful when it explains what is in the cup. Here, the blend identifies its component farms and proportions rather than stopping at a broad country label. The illustrated postcard box also makes a small, tangible way to give tea.
