Sugarmat began in Montreal and brings illustration, colour and a Bali-inspired sense of ceremony to yoga mats and accessories.
Sugarmat: origin & history.
Sugarmat’s company story places its beginnings in Montreal in 2015. Instead of keeping the mat visually neutral, the house developed a vocabulary of painted landscapes, animals and botanical scenes. Its current Bali-inspired presentation continues that interest in everyday objects with a decorative presence. Spotted Savannah makes the approach tangible through an illustrated suede-like face and a rubber base, with the print extending across the whole practice surface.
