Té Company: origin & history.
Elena Liao and Frederico Ribeiro founded Té Company in New York in 2012 to share Taiwanese tea through thoughtful sourcing and an intimate tea-room experience. The name Té draws on the Hokkien word for tea. Its collection extends beyond oolong into other drinks encountered through sourcing trips. Soba is one such discovery: puffed Taiwanese Tartary buckwheat, prepared as an infusion whose toasted, cereal-like character offers another way into the house’s world.

What catches our eye.
The tea-room sensibility carries into the home collection: small quantities, clear preparation and attention to the cup. Soba is an interesting change of texture and flavour from a leaf infusion.
