TWG Tea: origin & history.
The first TWG Tea Salon & Boutique opened at Republic Plaza in Singapore in August 2008. A second format at ION Orchard followed in 2009, combining a tea salon, retail boutique and takeaway patisserie. The 1837 on its identity refers to Singapore's trading history, rather than the company's founding date. This attention to setting extends into the tea collection: Golden Earl Grey places a bergamot-scented black tea in a tall Haute Couture tin, bringing the language of the salon to a cup prepared at home.

What catches our eye.
TWG's distinctive quality is the completeness of its tea setting, from a boutique's tea wall to the pot and cup. Golden Earl Grey makes a familiar blend part of that visual world, while the actual leaf and storage details keep the choice grounded.
