Velites: origin & history.
Matías Hernández founded Velites in July 2015 after developing early jump-rope prototypes. The Earth and Fire 1.0 preceded Fire 2.0, launched in 2016 as an evolution shaped by training feedback. In his account of the design, small practical details matter: handle construction, cable options and keeping the adjustment tool close at hand. The Spanish company’s range has since expanded into grips, clothing and other functional-training accessories. Fire 2.0 remains a clear introduction to that equipment-led identity, with a configurable cable system and a compact object that travels with its user.

Fire 2.0 Jump Rope · Silver →
The Fire 2.0 in Silver has lightweight aluminium handles weighing 37 g each and an adjustable stainless-steel cable with a PVC coating. The standard cable is 2 mm in diameter and 3.5 m long before adjustment. A T-wrench is stored inside the handle, allowing the cable length to be set without carrying a separate tool. The package includes the handles, cable and carry bag. Optional 1.8 mm and 2.5 mm cables and handle weights change the configuration and are separate choices. Use a smooth training surface; Velites recommends rubber gym flooring to limit cable wear, since rough ground is more abrasive.

Brute All Terrain Hand Grips · Black Pink · M →
Velites’ Brute All Terrain grips put a broad protective flap between the palm and a training bar, with an adjustable hook-and-loop wrist fastening. The Black Pink version combines a plain dark surface with bright pink Brute and Velites details. Designed for use with or without chalk, the grips are supplied with protective wristbands and a mesh bag for airing. This is size M, listed at 0.236 kg. Wash by hand in cold water with mild soap, then air dry completely; avoid the washing machine and direct heat.
