Arc’teryx’s Atom Hoody adds synthetic insulation to a slim everyday mountain layer. The Stratus colour keeps the nylon ripstop exterior quiet, while stretch fleece panels run down the sides. Coreloft 60 filling sits inside the body and adjustable hood; a drawcord hem and stretch cuffs finish the fit. Two zipped hand pockets and an internal chest pocket hold essentials. Worn alone or beneath a shell, it serves a different role from a waterproof outer jacket.
