Charlie Eastern Cottonwood Bonsai — #527

Charlie #527 is an individual Eastern cottonwood bonsai, not a generic plant selected at dispatch. Its slender, bending trunk and broad leaves rise from the photographed grey pot, with an overall height of 22 inches. This species is for outdoor growing: it needs winter dormancy below 50°F, with protection when temperatures drop below 15°F. Dandy Farmer advises bright shade during the hottest afternoon hours and keeping the soil from drying out. Choose it for an appropriate outdoor setting rather than as a permanent indoor ornament.
