Signature Number 1 Oolong Tea — 50 g

Signature Number 1 is Hatvala’s deeply roasted oolong from Moc Chau in Vietnam’s Son La province. It begins as a lightly oxidised Thanh Tam, or Qingxin, cultivar tea before twelve roasting cycles, separated by resting periods, transform it over three months. The tightly rolled leaves become dark and give a clear amber liquor with toasted rice, caramel and smoky notes; liquorice and fennel describe its taste rather than added flavourings. This 50 g loose-leaf format invites several infusions of the same leaves, with the roast unfolding differently from cup to cup.

Floating Cloud is a white tea made from buds of Shan Tuyet trees in Suoi Giang, Yen Bai, Vietnam. Hatvala describes extended withering, gentle stirring and drying, preserving the long, downy appearance of the buds. The 50 g option contains loose tea.
