Large Pitcher — Cranberry / Taproot

Cranberry glaze is layered over Taproot to give this tall pitcher a deep, gently changing colour. Tung Chiang shapes a long handle and half-moon spout into the ceramic body, with Heath's wiped edge continuing across the lip. It can hold water for the table or flowers when not in use for serving. Handcrafted in Heath's Clay Studio in San Francisco, the pitcher measures nine inches high and 4.25 inches in diameter. Fine speckling and glaze variation make the surface more nuanced than a flat block of burgundy.
