Borghese Coffee Table — Natural Oak and Black Steel

Borghese turns the branching shape of Rome's umbrella pines into a low table. Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance designed a black steel framework that carries three organically shaped solid-oak tops, like separate canopies meeting above the ground. The natural wood keeps its visible grain and a matt finish, contrasting with the dark, slightly grainy metal below. Each steel part is laser cut, bent and welded by hand to build the network of branches. This selection is the natural-oak version; black-stained oak and marble editions have different surfaces. Clean the wood with a soft cloth, avoid solvents and keep it away from excessive heat and sudden humidity changes.
