Fionda Chair — Black Ash, Natural Canvas

Fionda gives the familiar camping-chair sling a more deliberate wooden frame. Jasper Morrison suspended a removable natural-coloured canvas seat from black-finished ash, creating a loose, enveloping shape over a precise crossed structure. The contrast between pale fabric and dark wood makes the construction easy to read. The current ash chair has a 44 cm seat height and a 76 cm overall height. For storage, the covers can be removed and the frames stacked horizontally. It does not fold like a camping chair. This black-ash version is intended for indoor use.
