Vine Plate — 8-inch Tomato Side Plate

A fine red vine circles the rim of Salamat's Vine Plate, punctuated by little tomatoes rather than a dense all-over pattern. The pale centre remains open, giving the hand-drawn border room to show its irregular rhythm. This is an eight-inch side plate, a smaller table object that brings the studio's ceramic work into everyday use alongside its more sculptural vases. Each plate is made to order, and the decoration varies with the handmade process. Expect differences in the line and placement of the motif from one piece to the next; the photograph is an example of that individual finish.
