Fieldchair — Untreated Larch Wood

Fieldchair makes an outdoor lounge seat from a series of simple wooden slats. Floris Schoonderbeek's design uses polyester connections between the larch beams, leaving narrow gaps and allowing the chair to fold for storage. A textile loop at the front lets you carry it or hang it up. The selected chair is untreated larch, without the optional sheepskin: its pale wood will gradually turn silver-grey if left untreated. Weltevree recommends annual oiling and winter storage to extend its life. The seat is 53 cm wide and 45 cm deep, with a stated maximum load of 100 kg.
