Basilur: origin & history.
Ceylon tea specialist Gamini Abeywickrama founded Basilur, working with creative director Andrey Mareev to give tea a distinctive gift identity. The brand's own history marks its first Leaf of Ceylon collection in 2008, followed by Tea Book in 2009 and the Oriental Collection in 2010. Those book-shaped and island-shaped tins became part of how it tells the story of Sri Lankan tea. Golden Harvest Handmade Green Tea takes a quieter route through that world: rolled green leaves, a metal canister and the preparation of the tea itself.

What catches our eye.
The decorated tin is an invitation, but the tea inside should remain the reason to choose. Basilur's appeal spans collectible packaging and the variety of Ceylon teas; comparing leaf type and preparation brings the attention back to the cup.
