A strap can change the character of a watch without changing the watch itself. Delugs grew from an interest in leathercraft and mechanical timepieces, launching its first collection in 2018. Its early range used leathers such as Shell Cordovan, Chromexcel and Epsom, with attention to construction and fit. The Singapore brand later extended that approach to rubber, fabric and watch-specific attachments. Material, width and the way a clasp closes all become design decisions. Its boutiques also make room for the practical side of collecting: handling different straps, checking a pairing and getting help with installation.
