A bedroom usually asks both sleepers to share the same conditions. Eight Sleep starts with that small domestic negotiation: one side of the bed need not feel like the other. Founded in 2014 and identified by Y Combinator with New York City, the company develops connected systems around temperature rather than a particular mattress construction. The Pod now combines a fitted Cover, a water-circulating Hub and an app. With Pod 6, Standard and Solo formats offer different ways to equip a bed; the Cover and Hub belong to the same generation. The technology sits inside an otherwise familiar room, alongside bedding and furniture that can remain in place.

Pod 6 Standard — Queen →

The Eight Sleep Pod 6 Standard adds two independently controlled temperature zones to an existing mattress. This Queen configuration combines the fitted Cover with its generation-six Hub; the US size guide specifies 60 × 80 inches. A polyester top fabric covers the sensor-equipped layer, while the app brings together temperature settings and recorded sleep information. The low Hub can sit beneath many bed frames, subject to clearance. Autopilot is a separately billed recurring plan required for the first 12 months. Base, Blanket and Pillow Cover are optional additions, rather than parts of this Cover-and-Hub configuration.
