Founded in Harlem in 2015, NiLu takes its name from Nigel and Luke, the founders’ sons. The shop brings together Black and Brown makers, women-owned brands and independent creatives, while also offering its own neighbourhood-inspired objects. The M & G tray belongs to that NiLu selection, distinct from the candles and other goods sold for outside makers.
