Get to know Santa & Cole.
Santa & Cole treats lighting as a way of shaping atmosphere and the experience of a room. Its editorial writing connects the history of light with everyday habits and the quality of illumination. Cestita embodies that approach through a small lantern-like structure that brings a domestic scale to Miguel Milá’s design language.
Official history
Javier Nieto Santa, Gabriel Ordeig Cole and Nina Masó founded Santa & Cole in Barcelona in 1985. The house describes itself as a design editor: its role includes selecting, developing and distributing objects, rather than presenting every piece as the work of a single in-house designer.

What catches our eye.
The wood frame gives Cestita a recognisable presence even when switched off. The enclosed opal diffuser makes the lamp feel like a small pool of light that belongs close to people.
