Babel — Alabaster

Babel is both a table light and a small architectural column. Àngel Jové's 1971 design uses alabaster throughout: solid at the base and hollowed around the light source, with stepped edges that suggest the silhouette of a tower. Each piece is worked by artisans in Sarral, and the stone's veins make its illuminated surface individual. At 40.5 cm high and 30 cm across the base, it has a substantial 12.6 kg presence. A dimmer and dimmable 11W2700K LED bulb are included. The lamp is supplied for the voltage of its destination; this is the BABTA01 alabaster model, not a spare shade.
