Get to know the MUNIO.
The MUNIO traces its first candle collection to 2008, when Elīna Čīma began exploring candle making after using candles to light her café. What started with a familiar object became a studio built around scent and the detail of making by hand. Her sister Laura later joined the work, bringing production, logistics and finance alongside Elīna’s creative direction and product development. In the Riga studio, botanical material is arranged in the mould before wax is poured, leaving flowers and herbs visible within the finished pillar. Forest, meadow and garden scents give the collection its northern vocabulary. Candles remain central, alongside home fragrance and skincare. A cotton wrap and cardboard box extend the tactile character of the object beyond the wax itself. The appeal is in the connection between a recognisable plant fragment, a simple cylindrical shape and the way light changes the surface as the candle burns.

What catches our eye.
The flowers are part of the candle’s material character. The MUNIO connects a small domestic ritual with the visible texture of petals, stems and wax.
