VAHDAM India: origin & history.
The name VAHDAM rearranges the letters of Madhav, the founder’s father. Bala Sarda launched the brand in India in 2015 after joining a family business in tea, with the United States as its first market. The idea was to build an Indian name around teas packed at origin rather than leave the leaf anonymous in a longer chain of trade. Today the collection moves between regional black teas, green teas and spiced blends. India’s Original Masala Chai expresses its most familiar register: Assam black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, clove and black pepper, brought together for a cup that can accommodate milk.

What catches our eye.
Start with the loose-leaf chai if the ritual of measuring, brewing and straining appeals to you. The spices shape the cup; milk and sweetener are choices, not ingredients already added to this dry blend.
