Based in Malmö, Wästberg has built its lighting identity around the relationship between a lamp, its user and the light it produces. Collaborations give practical objects a strong individual character rather than a uniform decorative style. The current Wästberg+ presentation connects this Swedish heritage with the technical expertise of the XAL Group. Table lamps, task lights and architectural products coexist within that broader approach. A distinctive shade or an unusual support remains useful only when it helps place light where it is wanted, an idea particularly clear in the small Île lamp.
