Mezzadro Stool — Red
Mezzadro brings the visual language of a tractor seat into the home. Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed it in 1957, pairing a red perforated seat with a spring-like chrome-plated steel stem and a natural beech crosspiece. The contrast between agricultural, industrial and domestic references makes the stool interesting from every side, even when nobody is sitting on it. Zanotta began production in 1970. This is the red seat version with steam-treated beech in its natural colour; other seat colours are separate choices. It works as an expressive occasional seat.
