Drowsy: origin & history.
Brothers Thom and Rich Hemelryk came to Drowsy after running hospitality businesses together. They describe a year of testing fabrics, fillings and shapes before releasing their first mask, followed by wider attention in 2020. The result is recognisable for its generous coverage and padded silk construction, rather than a narrow elastic eye shade. Seasonal colours and special collections now extend that same idea. Our choice, the Sage mask from the Pride & Prejudice collection, introduces a decorative pattern without changing the object’s simple role as an eye covering.
