Get to know Monokel Eyewear.
Monokel Eyewear’s Swedish roots are visible in an approach that places simplicity and function alongside personal expression. The frame is treated as a small piece of architecture: the curve of a brow, the width of a temple and the space around the nose all change its character. Co-founder Robert Sandgren has described the practical work behind that surface. In 2020, the brand introduced its Recycled Black collection, collecting acetate offcuts from production to make new black frames. That dated initiative is one chapter in a wider interest in materials and craft. The current collection extends across acetate and metal frames, with different lenses and finishes for each model. Its own account of craftsmanship follows shaping, hand-buffing and polishing through to the finished surface. The result is a collection built around recognisable silhouettes, in which a keyhole bridge or a change of colour can be the defining detail.

A closer look.
What catches our eye.
A restrained frame makes its proportions especially visible. Monokel gives weight to the curve, bridge and edge, allowing a small object worn every day to carry a clear design language.

Earlier accounts report unanswered messages and delayed refunds; other customers praise the fit and design. These experiences concern different orders and service periods, and do not establish the performance of the Forest model.
