Get to know Oura.

The first design decision was to choose a finger rather than a wrist. When Petteri Lahtela, Kari Kivelä and Markku Koskela started Oura in Oulu in 2013, that choice gave sensors an unfamiliar everyday form. The ring had to sit beside ordinary jewellery while recording information through the day and night. Its successive generations have refined the proportions and finishes, with Ring 5 adding a slimmer profile and the Deep Rose colour. The app remains the other half of the object: the ring collects signals, while the software presents them as personal trends. That division between a quiet physical form and a detailed digital interface defines Oura’s approach.

Oura Ring 5 — Deep Rose →

Oura Ring 5 in Deep Rose combines a coloured titanium exterior with a titanium interior and sensors concealed against the finger. The band is 6.09 mm wide and 2.28 mm thick, with weight starting at 2 g depending on size. Optical, temperature and movement sensors feed the Oura app, leaving the ring itself without a screen. A size-specific standard charger and USB-C cable are included. The charging case is a separate accessory, and access to the full app experience involves Oura membership. Use the Ring 5 sizing process rather than assuming an older Oura size will fit.
