Get to know Saponificio Varesino.
In Brebbia, close to Lake Maggiore, Dante Bardelli began making soap in 1945. The company’s account recalls the first soap sales in nearby villages. Its history remains tied to the material in the boiler: judging consistency, working the soap base and shaping a solid bar. Saponificio Varesino describes preserving the Marseille method alongside the development of its own scented collections. The Stella Alpina laundry bar arrived in 1948, followed over time by toilet soaps, gift collections and a dedicated shaving range. Today, a hard shaving soap, a brush and a metal bowl bring that manufacturing story into a slower bathroom routine. The embossed lids are recognisable, but the interest goes beyond the container to the soap’s preparation and the individual character of each fragrance.

A closer look.
What catches our eye.
The soap becomes part of a sequence of gestures: wetting, loading the brush and working a lather. Saponificio Varesino gives that familiar ritual a clear material identity.
