The Vagabond name was established in Sweden in 1973. Its later development brought shoemaking knowledge from Portugal and Italy into a design practice now based in Varberg. The collection moves between loafers, boots and other everyday shoes, often changing the character of a familiar upper through the weight and outline of its sole. Since the end of 2023, ownership has been transferred to the Vagabond Shoemakers Foundation, a distinct part of the company’s current structure.
