Get to know Tinja.
Clay was one of the first materials around which Tinja built its project. Established in Tunis in 2005, the family atelier now works under the direction of Yasmine Sfar and Mehdi Kebaier. Their roles in the current project should not be confused with its original founding. Regional artisans and the central workshop exchange shapes, materials and finishing ideas: hand-shaped pottery, olive wood, palm wood and rush each lead to different objects. The workshop handles finishing and assembly, giving this varied collection a recognisable palette of earthy surfaces, graphic patterns and sculptural outlines.

What catches our eye.
Graphic decoration has more depth when the irregular surface beneath it remains visible; Tinja’s pottery makes that relationship easy to see.
