At Zanat, the carved surface is part of the furniture’s structure and character. The Nikšić family’s woodcarving story in Konjic reaches back through several generations; the registered family workshop dates to 1919, which is not the founding date of the contemporary Zanat brand. Brothers Adem and Orhan Nikšić developed the business around a dialogue with contemporary designers. Collaborations with Monica Förster and others give the carving tradition new scales and silhouettes. Tables, stools and chairs retain visible traces of the hand, while their overall forms remain precise enough for a contemporary interior.
