Renzo Frau established his workshop in Turin in 1912. Upholstery became its language: a frame, springs, padding and a covering assembled into a coherent volume. The Vanity Fair, first produced in 1930 as model 904, makes that approach visible in its rounded arms and enveloping back. The house now works across domestic furniture and custom interiors, while the chair remains a useful thread through its history.
